About Us

At Siblings Helping Siblings, we are dedicated to creating inclusive events that support children with disabilities and their siblings, while strengthening the entire family unit. We believe that siblings play a vital role in the lives of children with special needs and deserve spaces where they feel seen, included, and valued.

Our mission is to foster a sense of community and belonging by providing welcoming, inclusive experiences where children of all abilities can participate, connect, and enjoy meaningful moments together. Through thoughtfully designed events and community partnerships, we aim to create safe spaces where families feel supported, understood, and empowered.

My name is Maria Tejada, and I am the founder of Siblings Helping Siblings, a concept created to support families with children of all abilities, especially their siblings. Inspired by my personal journey and the challenges I faced finding inclusive spaces that welcomed my entire family, I began organizing community events in 2024 that celebrate inclusion, connection, and belonging. Through partnerships with third-party vendors, I have successfully created meaningful and memorable experiences for children, siblings, and families in supportive, welcoming environments
